Sepang, Malaysia 2011
56 laps @ 5.543km – 310.408km
Some dramatic races have been held here on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur for 12 years. There are two long straights of over 1km long as well as some challenging corners, particularly turns 5 and 6 right left with high speed and g-force. The first corner is also a challenging constant radius bend going from 200mph to 50mph followed by a sharp hairpin. Weather is the main issue with high humidity and heat causing late afternoon thunderstorms resulting in chaotic spins and accidents. Strategy is the key to success here.
